About Troon Ridge

About Troon Ridge

Our community is called Troon Ridge because it sits on a natural ridge between the McDowell Mountains and the picturesque boulder strewn Troon Mountain. In all 381 homes and lots nestle serenely into the natural Sonoran Desert. At elevations between 2,400 and 2,600 feet, our properties are above most of Scottsdale and the valley beyond. Sometimes it seems we are above the clouds and since we have minimal "light pollution" the nights are strikingly beautiful at Troon Ridge.

A Convenient Setting

At our elevations we tend to be significantly cooler in the summer than the city below us. The air seems clearer which helps everyone take advantage of the natural resources around us. There are numerous golf courses and many miles of hiking trails surrounding Troon Ridge. Shopping is close by but not so close that it feels like city. The neighboring schools are highly regarded and there are two "A" grade hospitals just minutes away.

Financially Well Managed

Troon Ridge Community Association has enviable fiscal stability. Our assessments are quite modest and our funds are managed well.  TRCA has not had a special assessment and with our fully funded "Reserve Account" to replace depreciating assets we expect to avoid financial surprises in the future.

A Collection of Neighborhoods

Our homes and lots are situated among four distinct neighborhoods, Dorado, Desert Crest, The Estates and Saguaro Canyon, each with its own special beauty. All the neighborhoods are protected from future development by "Natural Area Open Space" or NAOS land.
